An 8”x10” plein air oil painting done during the early stages of a sunset on Lake Erie. The skies were hazy, and I knew that if I waited to paint it, the sun would be quite diffused, and the vibrancy of the scene would be diminished. I love the backlit boat and the simplicity of it all.
